About Joshep Rozario
Life after Masterchef : Over the years, Joseph has grown as a chef and as a person too. He had joined a 5-star property, the Renaissance Conventional Centre and Hotel in Mumbai - a JW Marriott property where his skills were always appreciated by senior chefs. Grabbing a state of the art experience and polishing his culinary skills, Joseph served as an Executive Chef at Hotel Sinclairs, Siliguri, a 3-star property, making him the youngest Executive Chef in North Bengal. Joseph’s food as always has found it’s deserved recognition. He became a member of partnership venture with Inspiria Knowledge Campus, regarding a Culinary Certification Course for adults. Joseph realised his responsibilities towards the society and hence not only did he teach the priviledged but also got himself associated with an NGO in Damdim where he teaches culinary arts to under-priviledged children. He endorses a tea-brand by the name Riddhi Siddhi Green Tea. He has also been appointed by various brands to appear in their television commercials.
Breakthrough in the world of Cooking:
It’s not impossible to make a dream a reality and that is exactly what Joseph went onto do. His father, Horo Rozario is a chef and had always dreamt of having his own restaurant which he will name, ‘Grape Court of Rozarios’ and that is a gift that his son wants to give him.
Taking his father’s dream a step further, Joseph entered Master Chef India Season 2 and managed to awe most who watched him and was also the judges’ favourite all throughout. He then went on to be declared the second runner up on the show.
Keeping in mind the great words of Walter Savage Landor, “A good cook is the peculiar gift of the gods. He must be a perfect creature from the brain to the palate, from the palate to the finger's end,” Joseph has the knack of being creative in his presentations and his cooking. He specializes in fusion cooking and loves experimenting with his ingredients.
The Love for Indian Food:
Indian cuisine encompasses a variety of regional cuisines making use of a lot of local spices and herbs. With modernization in every aspect, Indian cuisine has its share of twists after interactions with other cultures and societies. Joseph has a special bond with Indian cuisine and loves to tailor recipes with an Indian twist. With various original concoctions, Joseph loves giving a dish a fusion twist after knowing his guests palette well. So with the strong Indian background the master chef, Joseph’s main culinary highlight is the Fusion twist that he brings in every dish.
The Chef Speaks:
“I like to give a twist in what I cook, being born in a country like India, the amalgamation of different cultures while cooking is something that helps me differentiate my dishes from the rest and adding a bit of our desi flavor in what I am cooking makes the dish even more palatable."
